Breckland 15 March 19

1st stop was St Helens picnic site. Frustratingly no Goshawk. Wind strength may have been against it. Heard Woodlark & saw Marsh Tit.

At Santon Downham had Kingfisher, Brambling, & heard Green Woodpecker. No sign of any Lesser Spotted Woodpecker.

Spent about an hour at Lyndford Arboretum. Did not see any Hawfinches but great views of at least 20 Brambling, Yellowhammer, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Nuthatch & other common woodland birds.

Sculthorpe Moor 14 March 19

Marsh Tit, Lesser Redpoll & possibly Mealy or even Arctic Redpoll, Siskin, Brambling, Red Kite

Titchwell Marsh 14 March 19

Again very windy.

Notable were Med Gull; Egyptian Geese; Red Crested Pochard;Marsh Harrier; Knot. Again hundreds of Brent Geese on the freshmarsh.

The beach was even more exposed and only 4 Red Breasted Mergansers & 2 Sanderling were of note.

Frampton Marsh 13 March 19

Short stop on the way to Norfolk.

It was very windy & birds few in comparison to previous visits. Ruff, Brent Geese & Avocet were notable.

Wigeon were very numerous & some approached very close to the 360 hide.
